Aircraft Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Popular Southern California Beach
An aircraft soaring over a crowded California coastline abruptly began spiraling out of control, ultimately losing altitude and plunging into a row of palm fronds as spectators watched.
Footage uploaded on the internet capture the chopper starting to spin over the beach then descending in the direction of the border of the shore, where it gets stuck among palms and a steps close to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Update
The Huntington Beach fire department said five people were transported to a medical facility involving a pair who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the incident on the weekend.
Three people on the street were harmed. Details on their wounds were still under review.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
